Foundasyon Manmi Chalo

About

WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of proud Haitians mostly living in the United States, looking to help and support those who are in need back in our home country in any way that we can.

Our name comes from our beloved late Manmi Chalo(Mrs. Sainvilia Aubourg), who spent much of her life giving to and helping those around her when they were in need.

FMC’s vision is to help create opportunity, growth and positively impact the most vulnerable communities in Haiti.

What are We Doing?

We began our efforts in 2021, working alongside primarily the Haitian American Museum of Chicago to help support individual families in the wake of the tragic Haitian Earthquake of 2021.

We gave these families financial support, which allowed them to take care of their short term needs as well as start small businesses.

Going forward we have plans on beginning a project to help young children pay for their education.

Access to education Haiti can be limited as Haiti does not have the strong public education system that many other countries do, meaning that many young children don't get access to education if that can not afford to pay for it.

With your help, we can help some of these children gain access to potential life changing opportunities through education.

Below is a report detailing information about our organizational structure as well as the service we conducted in our initial project:
